Sage doesn’t have the zest for cooking and baking like Brecken has. She just started discovering the joy of measuring cups and teaspoons and Bosch mixers. But today she came home with a school assignment from her cooking class. She had to make Vanishing Breakfast Rolls and I have to admit, they were tasty and she did a great job. Best of all, they are the PERFECT recipe for beginner chefs. Even little children would have a blast making these.
This is what Sage looked like for half of the baking session–she was devouring the marshmallows!
Here’s what a finished Vanishing Breakfast Roll looks like:
Vanishing Breakfast Rolls
1 pkg. canned biscuits
10 large marshmallows
1/2 t. cinnamon
2 T. sugar
2 T. butter
Melt butter in microwave. In another bowl combine sugar and cinnamon. Roll each marshmallow in the melted butter, then in the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Slightly roll out each biscuit and wrap each marshmallow in the dough. Place the rolls (sealed edges down) on a foiled-lined cookie sheet lightly coated with Pam. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. (The top of Sage’s was glazed with the oozing marshmallow mixture.)
I saw this adorable idea on this web site.
Smaller marshmallows were used that were colored green with food coloring. What an adorable idea for St. Paddy’s day or Christmas.
Only three more days until the big HSN 24-hour Craft extravaganza begins! My first show will be at 4:00 a.m. and everything in this hour is under $20.00. Also note this big change. Last week I announced that the eBrush would be launched on HSN on that day. Unfortunately the product will not be available for this date. However, it will be launched another time on HSN so stay tuned.
See you soon!
