Thanks for all your support on HSN last Monday! It was a rockin’ 24-hour craft day and truly was a good time. Loved all the hosts I had the pleasure of working with! How funny that Bill and I were color coordinated. We didn’t plan it that way!
A huge shout out to my team! From left to right: Chasity Sivanick, Marci Leishman, Lisa Bearnson (that’s me!), Jana Eubank and Jennifer Duncan. Truly the best team in the entire world! And a huge shout out to Brandi Nielsen, my social media manager. She kept things running on the home front!
We were all up for 41 hours straight (on top of a red eye flight) with a 2 1/2 hour “nap” in the middle. It was crazy long hours but everyone was so cheerful, helpful and kept a smile on their face. Truly the best team in the entire world!
One of my favorite parts of Tampa, Florida is going to the HSN store. It’s only accessible to employees and guests so I feel honored I get to shop there. We fell in love with this luggage quilted luggage set by Joy and IMAN and were giddy when we got a set (each color has a larger and smaller piece of luggage). This luggage set on the HSN site is close to what we got.
1. I’ve always wanted to meet Martha Stewart and luck was on my side when we were assigned green rooms right next to each other. She very sweetly came in my green room to say hi (on her way to being on air) and I jumped up and gave her a big hug (I’m pretty sure I wrinkled her perfectly pressed white linen shirt)! I then teased her that I got lipstick on it and when she looked down to see the smudge a big smile came on her face when she realized I was kidding! She then cordially met my team and chatted for a bit. Meeting her really made my day! Unfortunately this is the only pic with Martha I got (taken in a dark green room):
2. Just want to share some canvases I have hanging on my wall with favorite pics of my kids. I look at these everyday and they make my realize how fast time flies. I added some background borders and words that describe each child. The photos were taken by the fabulous Robin Johnson.
3. As I’ve mentioned before, several times a week I have the wonderful opportunity to work with 50 young girls in our congregation. Every Wednesday night, we enjoy an activity together and each Sunday we spend three hours (one hour with just the girls) with spiritual instruction. This video, called “An Experiment of Words,” highlights an activity that a nearby young women’s and young men’s church group did together. It simply makes me cry tears of joy. We plan to do it sometime in the near future. Just had to share to spark an idea of where you might be able to have a similar activity. Enjoy!
And may you always find joy in the journey!
