Hope your 4th of July celebration was great! Mine was filled with water sports, beach time, family bonding, and chili dogs and this dessert for dinner!
For four days, thirty-eight direct decedents of my parents gathered together at beautiful Bear Lake–the bluest, clearest lake on the planet. Why is it so blue? The lake contains calcium carbonate (lime) that reflect the water’s natural blue color back to the surface. It is know as the “Caribbean of the Rockies.” If you ever make it to Northern Utah, you must have a peak!
Some of these pics were taken with my iPhone and others with my Canon Rebel.
It was adorable how all the little cousins just wanted to hang out with Sage. She surfed with each child (who was daring enough) and told them her name was “Barbie” so that’s what they called her the entire time! Sage learned how to jump the wake and Brecken learned how to surf and wakeboard!
And, I had a blast tubbing with two of my sisters! Let me introduce you to the family. Below the tubbing pic is my family (minus Collin and in addition to Stefyn’s sister, Paityn). (No, we didn’t wear wear white shirts and dresses while camping. This was taken on Sunday and half of us were still in our church clothes. You know how it goes–last minute group shot before everyone leaves!)
Next is my second oldest sister, Debbie, and her daughter, Heather (and family). She has two sons and another grandson who weren’t able to attend. Below Debbie is my younger sister, Angela, with two of their four children. She has a daughter getting married next week!
Next is my third sister, Becky, and her ENTIRE family. Wow–she’s only three years older than me and just look at all those grandkids! Below that pic is the eldest sister, Carolyn. She actually has 12 more grandchildren and four children who weren’t able to attend.
Oh, how I love this great big family of mine! It’s honestly surreal to see my little nieces and nephews have families of their own!
Here are just a few more fun pics from the week:
Just over two weeks ’til I’m on HSN! I’ve been playing with the product and can’t wait to show you what I’ve come up with!
