My Pal, Stacy Julian

Wow--this has been a week of catching up with dear friends! I had meetings in the office today and was pleasantly surprised when Stacy Julian walked in the building. She lives in Washington and was here for a day of meetings.
I haven't seen Stacy since I read her amazing book The Big Picture (published by Simple Scrapbooks). I was so happy to have the chance to tell her in person how much I LOVE that book. It's sooooo inspiring and reminds each of us on every page why we are engaged in this incredible hobby. Seriously, if you don't have this book, RUN to the nearest store and get it!
Stacy is they type of person you'd just like to "hang" with for a week. She's very funny, down-to-earth and has a million and one ideas rolling around in her brain at any given time. And--after having four sons, she's about to adopt a baby girl. She was born in July and Stacy and her husband are waiting for the final nod to go get her (somewhere in the orient). Congrats, Stacy! You'll make a terrific "girl" mom. Oh--I promised Stacy that I'd mention that she didn't go to bed at all last night. That's right--zero sleep. She was a little mortified when I told her this photo was going on my blog. I think you'll all agree that she looks beautiful even with no sleep.
By the way, we are in the office of Brian Tippetts, CK's art director. I love his walls--very eclectic and full of ideas for future issues. He's a great art director and makes the magazine look so top notch. Thanks, Brian!

I had the honor of meeting Stacy at CKU-A last fall in Provo. I was so impressed! She is
a amazing lady. She is one of the most genuine individuals I have ever met.
I knew she was in the process of adopting. I can't wait to see pictures and read her story.
The Big Picture is a amazing book. A must have. Add her to your list of gals to talk to about starting a blog!

I did get "The Big Picture" and I love it. I am so glad that Stacy wrote it. What an inspiring book! Even though I live in an area well away from "SCRAP CENTRAL", I am grateful for the work that you, Lisa, Stacy, Becky and sooooooo many share with us. Thanks again for the wonderful examples.

Congrats to Stacy. I love seeing layouts of your boys as I can feel the love you have for them. I will anxiously await pictures & layouts of your new daughter.

I >>heart<< Stacy J! I'm taking her Library of Memories class (based on her book) and I love it. She rocks, man!

You both look gorgeous. In fact, it scares me how good you always look, Lisa! Do you EVER have a bad hair day???

Lisa,

I don't know if you read these comments or not, but I have a question and I hope you do. I can't find any other way to get in touch with you.

I am receiving the QVC set of 4 8x8 albums. I received the third one on family memories, the yellow one. There are no journaling prompts like there were in the first two. Are there supposed to be? The directions say to think about the journaling prompts before you fill out the cards, but there are no prompts printed in my directions. I emailed QVC and they sent me more directions, but those directions had no journaling prompts either. Can you help? Thanks, Rhonda Fowler, Pensacola, Florida

It's a real cute picture...even a sleep deprived Stacy. I know I wouldn't look that good with no sleep...heck I don't look that good by dinner time with sleep. :o)

Just wanted to answer the gal who had the question about the third "Family Memories" album. You can look under products on the Lisa Bearnson web site, click on the Favorite Albums, then click on the third album. You'll be able to see how I put together my album. Hope this helps!

Gosh--as for ever having a bad hair day, I do all the time. Ask my husband how much I HATE to do my own hair. I think I'd rather clean toilets than do my own hair! So--the compliment means a lot.

She looks great. I know how that feels to have ZERO sleep and all since I work nights and sometimes there are children to watch, games to go see, and other more important things to do. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful stories Lisa. I love the look into your life.
