American Idol Concert!!

As many of you know, I only watch one television show and I'm totally addicted. For the past three years, I don't think I've missed a week of American Idol. My girls are totally hooked too along with my friends Karen, Marci and Paula. We've made it a tradition after the season is over to go to the American Idol concert. So last week in Salt Lake City, the seven of us (Brecken's friend, Kenya, came with us) rocked out to our 10 favorite idols. The girls spent the day making posters which they brought to the concert, then held up when their favorite idol was singing. It was a great concert--Blake brought down the house and my gal, Jordin, was incredible.
The next night, I let the girls loose in my scrapbook room, and they create pages about our adventurous nights. Here are Becken's pages:

What a fun tradition and memory.

What 'til you hear what else Collin and our whole family has been up to! I'll share later on this week.

And--Mark your calendar for next Tuesday morning (Aug. 14th) at 12:01 a.m. (EST). I'm kicking off a fantastic Today's Special Value on QVC. It's one of the most amazing tools I've ever used. I'll share more later about this too!

Have a great evening.

Hi Lisa,
Sounds like you all had a great time. Brecken's pages look great. We were addicted to American Idol in the UK when it was on, we thought it would be a Jordin and Melinda final, very suprised when Melinda came third!

Hope you all love our Simon!! My daughter Chloe met him recently at a recording of Britains got Talent, she said he was lovely and very friendly!!

Have you been keeping up with your HOF winners from this year?

I know Mitchell what chosen because he was a male, he had a whole layout about it in his entry.
However, being an 18 year old male and having him in your magazine doesn't mean he was a good choice.

Here is his blog...he is causing quite the stir on the smack blogs.

Hi Lisa, What a blast! We attended the same concert here in Sacramento 2 weeks ago, it was rockin! We had so much fun, even my hubby was standing up, clapping along, couldn't help but DANCE! Blake makes my pulse race, he is so good!

I don't want to call and bug you, but wondering about your schedule August 30-Sept 1. I am bringing 8 members of my scrapbook club to Midway for swiss days and scrapbooking and we would love to tour the facilities or get together with you briefly! You could come crop with us at Carrie's Cottage! Let me know, I know it's busy for you. I'll call if I don't hear from you.

thanks Lisa! Here's to American Idol and scrapbooking, the 2 American Pastimes that have replaced baseball and apple pie (well, maybe not replaced, but at least standing next to!)

What a cool memory...I don't watch a lot of TV but I always tried to catch AI...though I was totally bummed when Melinda got voted off but that's another story. What a great memory for your girls...I just went to a Jeremy Camp concert last night and can't wait to make memories of that!

Can't wait until next Tues. to see what you have (and it's also my youngest's birthday!)

That is really great. I am an AI fan as well and I watch every single time it's on. My boss has a meeting the next day after watching AI to discuss the show (likes, dislikes, etc.)

I am hoping we can see the 10 of them when they come to LA.

P.S. I can't wait to see the new tool. I buy everything you sell on QVC and CK website.

GREAT pages! I love when my girls are set loose to create to their hearts' content! They just let their creativity FLOW! Can you imagine having scrapbook pages that YOU created when you were a girl? What a treasure that would be!

Hi There Lisa

I love watching AI too!

I have a question that is completely irrelevant to your blog sorry but i watched Erin do a video on a machine that she could plug into her computer that would cut out letters in whatever font you had typed on your computer and I can't find that video on the website and wanted to know what the make and name of the machine was it wasn't a cricut though do you know?
If you do could you e-mail the details to me at klbk@charter.net.
Thank you so much!

Great layouts from Brecken! Hmmm! I wonder WHERE she gets such talent? :)

Looks like you guys had a great time. My daughter was really into Idol last year, so for her seventh b'day, we had an American Idol party with a karaoke machine and a surprise appearance from Simon's "cousin," Ms. Simone Cowbelle.

Glad you all had fun, and can't wait to see you on QVC!

God Bless,
Colleen

I'm totally with you on the American Idol thing!! My daughter and I were lucky enough to snag tickets to one of the final shows. We made signs for our two favs. (Melinda and of course, Jordan) The other two contestants left were Blake and Lekisha. It was so much fun and quite a wonderful experience!!!!!

Also, stalking the QVC site for that special value--SPEED BUY FOR SURE!!!!
