TSV on August 14th! This is One Cool Tool!

Hey Everyone,

Next Tues. August 14th at 12:01 a.m. I'll be presenting the Today's Special Value on QVC. It's the Quickutz Silhouette and believe you me, it's one cool tool. I've been having as blast with it and don't know how I scrapbooked without it.

Okay--so what is the Silhouette??

The Silhouette is an electronic die-cutting machine that connects to your personal computer (Windows 2000, XP or Vista required). It cuts any images or true type fonts that are installed on your computer (you know--all those cute CK fonts you've beeb collecting over the years?). It cuts these images or fonts from 1/4" to 8" tall and 39" long. It also cuts a variety of materials including cardstock, patterned paper, vellum, VINYL (yes--you know all those cute sayings that are so popular to put on your wall) and adhesive backed paper. It comes with 90 images (40 you choose and download) plus everything you need to make amazing cut outs (machine, mat, blade, etc.). I LOVE the versatility of using my own fonts--I get to decide the best style to use on my pages. And, the value on QVC can't be beat. It's very easy for the beginner and also has many advanced fuctions for the experienced user.

I was recently at a meeting with Ali Edwards, Becky Higgins and Stephanie Tafoya and they saw scrapbook pages made with this machine. They said, "We love this look--when can we get a machine?" Of course I told them the date of August 14th, 2007!

Honestly, this is one incredible tool. If you scrapbook, make cards, school projects or decorate your home, this tool is a must have.

See you on August 14th! Not only do I kick off the TSV at 12:01 a.m., I also debut a brand new hour at 7:00 a.m. called Beyond Scrapbooking. And--stay tuned throughout the day! I have the opportunity to present over 25 news products. For more info, click here.

I would love to hear the opinion of someone (like yourself) that owns both the Cricut and the Silhouette. It's a BIG expense and a huge commitment to own both machines! I would love to hear a side-by-side comparison!

Since it isn't compatible with the Mac, I had to purchase the Wishblade, which is the SAME machine....

I love mine!

I also have the silhouette for a couple of months and it really is great! You can do so much with it and it is really easy (you have to try it a couple of times but once you know.....)

I also have found out trough,an english mb, how to make bold words. Really cool!

So have fun with this machine!!

Lisa,
I'm so excited for the tsv and the whole day. My sister and I are going to have a slumber scrap party. I'm just wondering if in a year their will be an offer for those who waited with a 12 by 12 mat. Or extra's that those of us who are your number 1st time buyers don't get. I wish qvc would offer their wonderful customers upgrade options. It would make us fill a little better about buying the item the first time you show it. Just an idea for the big wigs. Love ya Lisa,
Liz Reeves

Hey Lisa!
I always love the products you present on QVC and for a long time I wanted to buy the Cricut but because of the expense I waited. Then one day I was watching HSN (just on a whim- I dont really care for their scrapbooking products) and somehow they sucked me in to purchasing the Xyron Wishblade. They presented it as being sooooo super easy..that even someone who doesnt know a lot about computers could use it with no problem. So I bought it, reluctantly, basically because you could use your own fonts on the computer..that was the catch...instead of spending $90 on Cricut fonts. Anyway it definitely was NOT a machine that was easy. I am a pretty educated person and I found the machine to be super intimidating and difficult to figure out. In the end I begged HSN to take it back and refund me, which they did, and I eventually bought the Cricut (which I absolutely love- should have listened to you in the first place like I always do!) I guess I am telling you all this because this new machine you are going to present on QVC seems similar to the Wishblade. Since many of us scrapbookers rely on your opinion of products before we put money out of our pockets--please keep in mind that some things are not as easy to use when you get them home especially for people who dont have computer backgrounds. Maybe this one is easy for the novice. But please remember my story. Thanks for listening and thanks for bringing us such great stuff to QVC! Keep up the inspiring work!

Lisa, this question is completely off the way cool Silhouette. But, I have to ask - being your BIGGEST fan and all.

My sis said your blog mentioned you will be in Tooele next week. AHHHHHHHH! I'm totally freaking out! Is there anyway, if I arranged it through the local scrapbook store you would come and do something? Even just crop with a few of us?
You are my AMERICAN IDOL!!!! Okay, I'm not trying to scare you. It would just be really incredible to meet you.
If it would be at all possible my e-mail is trisha9727@msn.com. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Trish

Hi Lisa as someone else already stated we cant all afford to buy two very expensive machines what has happened to making the cricut PC compatible, that's one reason why I bought mine from QVC during one demo someone stated there would be an upgrade available soon. Has that plan been abandoned?

Well Lisa, this product is exactly what i've been watiting for! Unfortunatly I'm late and on the waitlist... I wanted something that used my own computer fonts and could cut large sizes and shapes. Thank you for bringing my attention to this product!!

Wow, LOVE these projects. Now what do i do with my 2 (yes, count them, 2!!) cricuts? Had to have the 12" one to go with the smaller 'travel' size. Oh well, I can still do lots of fun stuff with them.

I am so bummed to have to send kids back to school, I will be crying with you on Monday.

you are wonderful!

Mine is on back-order ... shush I'm not supposed to know that my DH called in to QVC and bought it for me ... he used my ID number though and the email came to me. LOL ... so much for surprises. Can't wait for Christmas ... hoping they can fill the back-orders by then.

BTW Lisa ... your presentations on the craft day were awesome.

I love the silo.... I sold off my cricut and the 3 cart.. I used and over used the cricut. I love the cricut but felt limited to what I have at home. I love the idea of going to the sil website and buying dies as needed. It's like having a scrap store in my own home. instantly... I only wish the downloads would come more often like the regular dies that quickuts has... I NEED MORE DIES...
