I'm Back from my Travels!
I had a wonderful time at the Seattle Creating Keepsakes Convention. Loved mingling with all of you! Also loved the time I spent at the Scrapbook Nook in Kent, Washington. If you haven't been to this store, you must go! It recently expanded to double its size and has LOTS of cool stuff. I met this amazing couple during my visit--Craig and Liz Blackwood.

Craig (aka CPT Blackwood) is the commander of Alpha Company 15th MI BN (AE) which is currently serving a 15 month tour in Iraq (estimated to be home around June 2008). He had just come home that day for a 18 day R&R from Iraq and came with his wife to the Scrapbook Nook. Wow--I couldn't believe they came on the day Craig got home. What an honor to meet them! They are a lovely couple. Craig--Thanks from all of us for your incredible service on our behalf!
After Seattle, I went directly to Denver for a college football game between Missouri University and Colorado University (Sat. night). My cousin (Kurtis Gregory) plays offensive line for MU and it was so much fun to watch him live at this game. He's the big guy right behind the player in the sunglasses.

It was also fun sitting with all the players families. We were directly behind the quarter back's parents and they were a hoot to listen to. It must be nerve wracking to have a son play quarter back!
Steve and I went with a bunch of our family members.

The CEO for CKMedia, Dave O'Neil (and his son Jack), also came to the game. By the way, MU won 55-10.

Not much else going on here. Brecken lost three teeth three days in a row (the tooth fairy is broke!). Collin won his championship football game (his team hasn't lost a game in three years). I've been eating Halloween candy like crazy! I'll be glad when it's gone!
Hope you're having a great week!
Lisa

The tooth fairy is broke? Too funny!
I remember when getting a dime from the tooth fairy was like getting 100 bucks! lol
Great pictures.
Lisa,
I just recently moved to Columbia, MO so if you ever want to come and visit your cousin, you are welcome to stay here!!! The MU Tigers are having a great season, but being from Baton Rouge, I still have my purple and gold Tiger stripes. :)
Glad you had safe travels.

Hi Lisa
Nice to hear from you again!!
I just received the baby hat loom and we have begun making the adorable little hats! Thanks so much for your generosity! It is greatly appreciated!
Also, the November KOTM is awesome! Becky did a fantastic job!
Thanks again!

Wish I could have been in Seattle...I live about 4 hours away, but maybe next time! Sounds like you had fun!!
Lisa, it was great meeting you at the nook! We all enjoyed our time with you!
Liz and Craig are amazing people, I love Liz and have enjoyed getting to know her while she spends time in WA while Craig is in Iraq. It was an honor to finally meet Craig that night as well.
Thank you again for joining us that night, I know Susan and Sharee loved being welcoming you to the nook!

I had to hide my candy from myself! :) I put it way up high so it's harder to reach and I have to use a chair to get to it. :) My daughter finished hers off yesterday! whoohoo!
Hey Lisa.. glad to see you in Colorado....My family are BIG time MU fans as well. Hard to live here in Colorado and not root for CU.. but it's all in fun. Now if CK would have CKU here in Denver life would be good!!! Do you have any pull in that.. HAHA....Love reading your blog!!

Lisa,
I had a great time meeting you in Seattle... one of the highlights of ckc was having my picture taken with you (and my sons' atv) after the class... It was well worth the trip from Hawaii... I hope you enjoyed the cookies and candy:)
You are an awesome woman!

I can totally relate to the losing many teeth in a short period of time. In September my son lost 4 teeth in 6 days! It was CRAZY! Check this out: http://scrapmyworld-dawn.blogspot.com/2007/09/losing-4-teeth-in-6-days_20.html
Looks like you had a GREAT time at the Seattle CKC. I hope you come to the Manchester NH CKC this year! PLEASE!!! :-)
How cool that your cousin plays for Missouri. We lived in MO for seven years and I absolutely loved it!!! If ever given the choice between Utah & Missouri, it would be a very hard decision for me.

Mizzou-rah!! So cool that your cousin plays for my alma mater...I graduated from MU in 1988. Wow--now I feel old:) LTC from MO

Lisa - SOOO COOL that you were at the MU game! My husband and I met at school there; his family still lives there (his dad was a professor there in Child Ed and Psychology) and we are still proud MU fans even in the midst of "Husker Nation" (we live in Lincoln, NE now.) We proudly fly our MU flag on game days, and hang our "M" door decor, too. Glad you had a great time - and glad they WON! Go tigers!! LOL

I always enjoy pictures!!!
I am another MU alumni!!! Looks like you guys had a great time!
My daughter is going to Mizzou. She'll probably be at today's game. I'll tell her to watch for your cousin.
woohoo!!! I went to Mizzou! Met my husband there too! How cool that your cousin plays for us! I'll be sure to watch for him, since we're having a great year! I just graduated 2 years ago and we live in St. Louis now! Awesome!

Another Mizzou alum here, very neat your cousin is on the team. Of course when I went there, we only won one game my freshman year-at least it was against our bitter rival Kansas!
