My Crazy Kids!

Every Monday night at our house is "family night." It's a time where we eat dinner together, then spend the rest of the evening as a family. Sometimes we go to a movie and other times bowling. Sometimes we do a project together that needs to be done around the house. Other times we have a lesson on honesty, finding true happiness or courage to make the correct decisions (or some other subject matter), then we play a game and always have a yummy treat. Last night we went over details for our Hawaiian cruise (did I mention we're going on a cruise over the Christmas break?), then read from the New Testament. I made yummy Snickerdoodles from an incredible Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix you can buy at Costco, then Kade announced that everyone was going outside to make a snow cave. I groaned a little inside--it was 9:00 p.m. and time for Brecken and Sage to go to bed. Kade was so darling and enthusiastic about it that I caved in and said they could go out for a little while. "A little while" turned into 11:00 p.m. and they still weren't finished. But boy or boy did they ever have fun and I love this amazing memory we had together.




They all worked together gathering snow in ice chests, then piling it on the fort. Kade hooked a plow to the four wheeler to scoop up the snow.



When I went outside, Sage was over at the neighbors gathering the snow on their front lawn and proudly exclaimed how happy the Spences would be that we were getting rid of their snow. (I about died--their perfectly manicured "snowy" lawn was ruined!) Kade cracked me up--he was shoveling snow with one hand and texting with the other! Teenagers!

I love times like this. It really is true that the best adventures are found in your own backyard.

Now down to business! As for the December Kit of the Month stamps, we are trying to decide whether or not to manufacter them again. We'd need a large order for it to make business sense. We are thinking about taking "wait list" orders to see how many people are interested. It might help if you drop a note here telling me of your interest.

Hope Tuesday went well for you. I spoke to group of students at the university where I graduated (BYU), then went to Collin's concert at the junior high. He sang a solo and did a swell job!
