Sneak Preview of the March Kit of the Month!
Just had to give you a sneak preview of the March Kit of the Month. Let me just say up front that I LOVE it--and the value is amazing. I'm so excited because I'm finally getting caught up on last year's photos thanks to this kit. I was able to scrapbook all the holidays and seasons of the year--birthdays, Christmas, Fourth of July, summer fun, Halloween, and so on--in just a short amount of time (complete with photos and journaling). The kit includes 40 of the cutest pages (20 two-page layouts) you've ever seen and all components are already pre-cut, pre-punched, pre-embossed, etc. All you have to do is add adhesive, your photos and journaling. The pages are very versatile (you can easily change the theme) and work well with 4 x 6 photos or enlarged photos. I created all the pages, then added my photos later. Here is a sample from each of the four seasons.
Just had to tell you the story behind this page. My 17-year-old, Kade, is always ready for a good time--and he's a complete kid at heart. A couple of Saturdays ago, he had Sage and her friend, Krisha, put on their winter clothing, took them to the store and bought sleds, then spent the afternoon sledding down a huge hill. He even took the camera along and got pictures! Love that kid!

Here is my Spring page. (Check out how the paper matches Sage's swimming suit almost exactly.)

And my summer page--we were in a state that allowed fireworks on the Fourth of July. My boys went nuts!

And finally my Fall page:

You'll feel really creative with this kit (lots of fun to put together) and you'll get a lot of pages completed in a short amount of time. Make sure you order early because this one is sure to go fast. (It goes on sale at 9:00 a.m. MST on March 1st.)
Also, if you love to create, my friend Stephanie--the editor of Heart and Home magazine--is asking for submissions. Go to www.homegrownhospitality.com for more details. And--check out Steph's blog--www.homegrownhospitality.typepad.com. You're sure to fall in love with her and all her creations like I have.
I'm off to Tokyo for CKU-Japan. My hubby's going with me. We're hoping to see the city before the event begins.
Have a great week!

Hi Lisa - The kit looks fantastic! Lots of fun stuff! I must admit, though, I am already having visions of seeing this kit on e-bay for over $100 like the last kit!! I hope people will try to be considerate of those of us who really do want to scrapbook the moments of our lives (and not try to make a profit on e-bay!!).
Have a fantastic trip to Japan!!
I can't wait to see the new kit, Lisa! Those pages that you created are gorgeous!
Have a wonderful time in Japan!
You're right, Lisa! This kit IS amazing! It was like Christmas opening up the box. Thank you so much for such an amazing gift...You're the best! I hope to see you soon...

Hi Lisa,
First of all, happy travels on your trip to Tokyo. I'm sure you'll
have lots of fun there and share lots of pictures to us when you get back. I am so excited to order this kit. This is 12 x 12 right? I had your other 12 x 12 kit before and love love it. Can't wait for March 1st.

The kit looks fun. The paper and embellishments look like they were made for those photos.
Lisa, thanks so much for sharing the preview of March's kit!! I love it so far! Can't wait until Saturday. My oldest has a pee-wee soccer game at 9:30am but I will somehow get logged on and get my kit ordered & make it to the game in time!!! I will not miss this one like I did the school kit!
Enjoy Japan & CKU! I'm sure we'll see pics of your fun trip later!

I can't imagine going to Tokyo! I hope you have a safe & wonderful trip.
Your state doesn't allow fireworks at all? Does that mean that individuals can't buy & shoot fireworks, but large public displays are allowed? If so, that is so strange & sad. I've never heard of that before.
Can't wait to hear about your trip!
Those look SO cute! I'm definitely going to get them! It's exactly what I need to get caught up.
Lisa,
Thanks for the sneak peak of the KOTM for March. It looks like another HIT! Can't wait to get it and the school year kit.
Have a fun and safe trip to Japan.

Lisa if you get this before you leave for Japan. Have a great time dont forget to call Makiko the girl I sent you her phone number. She will help you if you need help or get lost over there. It can be quite confusing. See Tokyo View if you get time. Tokyo Tower is fun and oh Lisa the shopping is great..
I love it when we go..
Hope you make it to the restraunt I told you about also..
Cant wait to see what you think about it.. IT Is CROWDED AND EXPENSIVE...

CKU - Japan! I didn't know there was a CKU so close to me! I bet that I've missed it. I'm a military spouse living in Korea. Would have loved to made that one.
This looks like it is going to be a really fun KOTM.
Is there actually somewhere we can see the whole kit before March 1st?
When I click on the link it still shows the sold out school kit.
Thanks,
Cherie
Have fun in Japan! I lived in Osaka for 3 months and LOVED every minute of it! I miss the curry rice, that was my favorite dish aside from the sushi of course! Travel Safe!
Looks amazing! Hope I can get my hands on one. I've missed out on the last few :) This is right up my alley. Maybe I'll stay up and place my order at 12:00am LOL!
That looks like such a fun kit. I cannot wait to check it out next month.
Can you please tell me how you upload your layouts? Do you scan them in or take pictures? They always look so great.
Have a fun trip!

How would I find out about another event like CKU Japan? I'm so disappointed I didn't know about this since I live down in Okinawa.
Hi Lisa,
This kit looks fantastic! I was 100% on board to purchase - but now it's saying you can't ship to Canada. When did that change? I'm sure you've probably addressed this previously at some point, but I can't find it. I've ordered kits of the month here before - like the amazing June kit and I've been waiting for a kit like this one that I would fall in love with. So disappointed I can't order it. I'd love any help you can give me on this..maybe directing me to what I can possibly do. THanks, Lisa!!
Hi Lisa! Loved viewing your pages! I think that I am going to get this month's kit..it will be my very first! Have fun in Japan!!
Hi Lisa
I have received my kit and it is all you advertised it to be. Here's my problem though. We jumped online first thing on the 1st while in Portland at CKC. Because of some confusion with the ordering, I ended up with 2 kits and only need 1. Since my friends bought theirs too, I don't really need the second one. Help, what do I do to return one?
Thanks.

Announcing “Serve Where You Are” Week – September 14 – 20, 2008
What it is:
An opportunity to actively search out ways to serve others – and then serve without fanfare
How it Works:
• Set aside and dedicate as much time that you can spare during the entire week
• Work as a couple, a team or alone. There’s no one to report to
• Look around you to find opportunities to serve (see below for ideas)
• Seek to serve without recognition. Serve quietly and with dignity
• Share the Serve Where You Are details with others
Ideas for Service:
• Help out at the food bank
• Clean a cemetery
• Carry groceries for someone
• Collect books for a battered women’s shelter
• Be someone’s shoulder to cry on
• Compliment a stranger
• Smile at someone
• Offer to mow someone’s lawn
• Offer to make a drugstore run for an elderly person
• Attend an AA meeting with someone
• Take a sack lunch to a homeless person
• Hand out signed “coupons” that say, “Sometimes it’s just nice to know someone cares about you. I care”, (see attached document as a basic example)
Spread the word!
• Post this at your work or hand it out as a flyer
• Email this to your friends in your address book (please don’t spam)
• Blog about it
• Visit the Service Blog http://serviceafol.blogspot.com/ and be sure to comment
Tell me how it goes:
I’m interested to hear your experiences. If you’re interested, please email me at jameswhofheins@yahoo.com and tell me some of the things you did to serve. Be as detailed as you like; tell me about the reactions you got from others, how you felt, and if your experience would lead you to participate again.
With your permission, I’d also like to post your comments on my blog, using only your first name and city and state.
Thank you so much for being willing to participate. Truly, service is the action form of love!
