Vote Kade Bearnson for Student Body President!
Hey Everyone,
Just letting you know that the April Kit of the Month is flying off the shelves. Seventy percent of our quantities are gone so if you want it, you'd better grab it fast. I promise you'll be nothing but delighted when you receive your package. It's a phenomenal kit.
Also, GREAT NEWS! We've heard your pleas and the December Kit of the Month (you know, that awesome stamp kit) is now available for preorder. Click here to order.
Life these past few weeks has been crazy. Kade shocked us a few weeks ago by announcing that he was running for Student Body President at his high school. Kade is a fun-loving, happy, energetic kid who has been an absolute joy in our home. He's always been big into sports (mostly football and track--he's one of the captains of the football team next year) and is one kid that doesn't love the limelight--he's never wanted extra attention. Running for a student body office has really stretched him as a person (he's never wanted to run for an office before) and we are thrilled he is giving it a try.
So--the past few weeks have been all about slogans, posters, posters and more posters, interviews, campaigning, badges, etc. Here is one of his posters (his slogan is "Kade's Promises Stick").

He also had to make a one-minutes movie that would promote his skills and abilities to other students. I think he and his cousin, Michal, did a great job creating it. Check it out here.
Tomorrow is the day when they'll announce the winners. Kade has a great attitude and told me that the other boys running are really nice kids and they'd make great student body presidents too. I found this quote and stuck it on my monitor:
I'm so proud of Kade for embarking on this journey and win or loose, I think it's great that he had the courage to begin.
Wish him luck. I'll let you know the results!
Have a great Thursday.
Lisa

OMG Lisa, could he be any more handsome? It's really strange for those of us that have been fans of yours for years . . . we have literally watched Kade grow up before our very eyes. He reminds me of my first nephew (who is 18 TODAY by the way). Kade is handsome, and he really seems to have a good head on his shoulders. The proof of that is his comment about how the other boys running would make good presidents too. You and Steve must be so proud of him. Way to go.
Good luck Kade! Win or lose, you are one great kid! Hopefully you already know that!
P.S. I ordered my KOTM right away, and I can't wait to get it. Thanks for making these fantastic kits available. How exciting that you're making the stamp kit available again. I got that the first time around, and I love it! Have a great day!
Good Luck Kade!!!
I was my class President way back in high school!! Great honor and lots of fun!! Enjoy!
Love the video!!

If only all of us could vote!!!
Lisa,
You must be so proud of your incredible son! My daughter is a Senior this year (and turns 18 this month) and I don't know where the time has gone. We watch them grow and only hope that we have instilled in them whatever we could to help them survive this life and world to the best of their potential. I wish him all the luck and only wish we could vote him in. What a great honor -- win or lose -- to have given it his best and made the most of his high school experience.
I can't wait to see the results!
Great video! What program did he edit it in! He needs to give lessons!
What a cool video! My 5 year old daughter liked it too! Kade seems like a nice and good kid. Wishing him luck today!
The sponsorship note at the end with the whole sunglasses schtick... priceless. Thanks for sharing it with us. You're not only generous with your family but your heart as well.

Lisa, I know you are so proud of him! He seems like such a wonderful young man and a great big brother. I agree with scrapmomof2, it's like we have watched all of your children grow up before our eyes. Thanks for sharing your wonderful memories with us for all these years!!

And you and your cousin did an awesome job on your video!
What a great video! Good luck, Kade! Lisa, sounds like you have great kids--please share your secrets to raising fabulous, caring children.
I have ordered several of these kits. They are wonderful. Do you think May 2007 & June 2007 will ever be sold again??? PLEASE??? Kade, you will get the votes, just you wait and see. Thanks, Linda
Wow - that was a great video - a long way from the poster paint on cardboard of my youth :)
Hey Lisa,
We loved the short film, Kade seems like a wonderful kid! My son Mike is a senior this year. This last year of high school has gone by very fast. I am only five months away from sending my boy off to college, when I think of it sometimes I can feel my heart break. I know that you will treasure every moment of the year to come. Thankfully, Mike is the oldest of 4 so there will be little ones home for several more years:)
We wish him much luck and many votes!

I was part of the student body officers at Lone Peak back in 05 and i LOVED it! Gary Dunn was the best thing to happen to me as an awkward teenager. So many hours of service, late night setting up for dances, and learning opportunities happened as an SBO. good luck!
What an awesome video! Very professional!!!
I was just wondering if Kade won...please let us know how he did!
P.S. My Dad teaches at Lone Peak! I didn't know that's where your kids went. I'm going to ask him tonight if he's had Kade in class.

Great video! sorry you didn;t win but I agree with your Mom..You already are a winner!!!
