Hope your Fourth of July was great!
Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July. Mine was spent having friends over for a BBQ and pool party. Then we went to "Stadium of Fire" last night with Hannah Montana, Blue Man Group and Glenn Beck. It was awesome and very patriotic. Then very late last night went to a BBQ and concert at a neighbor's house. I wanted to post photos but am leaving off and on for the next three weeks for various vacations. Today I leave with some friends (girls only trip) for St. George. We are going to see Les Miserables tonight.
My time spent at my friend's funeral in Zanesville, Ohio was emotional and memorable. Thanks to all the many people who were so kind to me and Lezley's family. We all felt very loved and I know by the amount of people who attended the funeral that Lezley was very loved too. Thanks to Valerie for the amazing plane ride over Zanesville--what an experience!
Remember life is so short--hug everyone you love (and even like!) today!
I'll try to keep you posted where I'm at.
Sincerely,
Lisa

I hope you enjoy Les Miserables. We went Tuesday night and loved it. It was a bit warm but tonight should be a little cooler. Enjoy!
A big HUG from me to you today!!! With two deaths close to our family this month, I have felt the same urgency to make sure my friends and family KNOW that I love them!!!
It is always so sad to see family and loved ones fighting over stupid little things. After you have been through an untimely death or lost a close friend you really learn to not make big things into little things! You would hate to wish that on someone but it sure changes that way you look at life! You never miss a chance to tell someone you love them!
I loved Les Miz but saw it years ago...let me tell you, it was amazing and you'll want the soundtrack! Enjoy.
I went to see Les Mis. when I was way too young to appreciate it, or understand it. I remember my sister and I looking at each other towards the end, wondering what everyone was crying about?
I think I am a big enough girl now, to be able to see again and actually appreciate it. I hope you enjoy it and all your fun trips!
BTW...any CK happenings coming to the Los Angeles area anytime soon?
Hi Lisa, I am having a very hard time locating marker holders that keep my markers horizontal. I would like to have the kind that are clear plastic acrylic like are in the scrapbook stores and magazines. If you could pass along where I might locate some of these, it would be awesome! I can be reached at misselayneous@yahoo.com
Thanks so much! Elayne
Here's one St. George fan that was FLOORED on Sunday - Imagine me in church (trying to contain my 5 rugrats) thinking... "hmmm that gal sitting behind me sure looks familiar, I wonder where I've seen her before" - and then catching a glimpse of her on the way out and thinking "dang, I really can't place that face" Well, I get home and haven't even gotten the shoes off my little girls when the phone rings - it's a friend who had heard Lisa introduce herself in RS, well duh, now I feel stupid! Hope you enjoyed St. George - it really isn't ALWAYS this hot!
-the crazy mom sitting right in front of you and wrestling with the frequently rotten/always lovable children.
Hey--Just to answer a few questions:
1. Elayne--EK Success used to sell horizontal marker holders. Maybe they still do? Also, there's a store in my area that's going out of business (Forget Me Not in American Fork, UT). Call and talk to Rita and ask if she's selling her marker holders.
2. As for the gal who sat in front of me in church in St. George, I think I know who you are. Your girls had big flowers in their hair and all your kids have beautiful tanned skin. If this is you, I think your children are very well behaved. I was REALLY impressed. Wish I could have met you! Call me if you're ever up this way!
Hi Lisa,
Just wanted to thank you for speaking at Lezley's funeral service. She would have loved it.
My parents think very highly of you, and I am glad that we have finally met. Please keep in touch with me and let me know if you are ever in the Carolinas.
Eric
So true we do need to share more hugs in this world. I can see your plate is extremely full, what an adventurous life you have Lisa!!!
Though our meeting was a result of a sudden and sad loss of a mutual friend, I hope you were able to take some happy memories home with you from Zanesville, Ohio! I look forward to seeing you again and meeting your family! I also can't wait to hear how jealous your husband was of your ride!!! Would love to have copies of your pictures too!
