Project 365
I have been on the phone with Becky over the past several days and she has kept me in the loop on the situation with Project 365. First of all, please know how sorry and frustrated the entire Kit of the Month team are about the situation. We are thrilled about the huge enthusiasm you felt toward the kit but feel horrible about the fiasco you went through to order it. Our team works tirelessly on bringing you amazing products. It's exasperating when the final part of the project (getting it in your hands) falls short. Please know that our KOTM team is doing our very best to get answers and solutions. Stay tuned to Becky's blog and the KOTM blog for details as we know them.
Sincerely,
Lisa

I was able to get 2, only after some trouble, lol. But I think we can all understand that you have to go by previous kits numbers to determine how many to order. That's just good business. We know that you are all doing what you can, as fast as you can, to fix it and get more. :)

Just. Order. More.
Lisa,
Hi! I met you in October,(my sister Patty arranged our meeting) had lunch and took an amazing tour of CK Media. I was amazed at how so many people worked so hard to produce many great products.I have been surprised at some of the comments that have been posted due to the 365 kit. It will all be worked out I'm sure. I tried but didn't get a kit. I am still using the concept by taking photos, keeping a journal and keeping movie tickets, receipts, etc. As you said to me the day of met you, FIND JOY IN THE JOURNEY. Thank you for all you do for all of us.

Thanks Lisa!
Lisa,
They say hindsight is 20/20 and I am certain that things did not go the way that CK expected them too.
I was one of the lucky ones who was able to get an order in for Project 365.However,to be perfectly honest, I have never had to work so hard to give a company my money before! It was definitely not a great experience. It was very frustrating and it took 5 days before I knew whether or not my order even went in.
Obviously, you know that the KOTMs have been very popular and I am sure that CK wants to do everything in its power to be sure that nothing like that ever happens again so...do you think CK might ever consider the switch over to a pre-order basis for all of the KOTM from now on? It would be such a win/win situation for both CK and consumers.
I know I would personally be able to order more kits than I have been able to in the past.
CK would have a better idea of the number of kits that need to be ordered and in the end, CK would not be stuck with a lot of unsold kits. Consumers would be able to purchase the kits that they want without any problems, without any stress and they wouldn't be frantic about trying to get one of the limited "golden kits",
I truly believe that doing it on a pre-order basis would actually improve sales for CK===sometimes people have other commitments and are not able to be on the website to order it as soon as it becomes available so it is sold out before they even have a chance to order it and sometimes the 1st of the month is not the best day for people to spend money on SB supplies when other bills are due, However, if people had a longer period of time to place a pre-order (a week or two)for each kit, you will get alot of additional orders from people who wouldn't have otherwise been able to order a kit!
Please say it is something that might be looked into! I love the kits that CK makes and I would love to the opportunity to be able more in the future!

Lisa,
Thank you for finally commenting on the KOTM. I know there are many issues at hand in this whole fiasco and I understand the whole order lead time, guestimation on how many to order months in advance of even introducing the product, etc. I even understand that with pre-orders, you would still have to do that at least 6 months out to get an idea of product count.
What I don't understand is the complete lack of a system in place (after all of these months of KOTM's). This includes on-line ordering, international ordering, order tracking, shipping costs, and simply the right hand knowing what the left hand is doing. I was one of the few that had a live person answer the phone on January 1. The person answered the phone by saying "hello", only to have someone in the background say, you're not supposed to answer that, you're supposed to let the answering machine get it." And then click! What was that about?? And even if a product sells out (which happens in any industry), to not know who has a legitimate order and who does not is so "basement business" which I did not think CK Media was - maybe I am wrong. But to think that all of these same issues were happening with each and every KOTM and the problems were never fixed. Why was anyone to think that this one could possibly go right??
I just hope that before any new KOTM is offered, especially any of Becky's, that all of these problems are tested and fixed or CK might as well just "hang it up".
Hopefully, the problems will be solved soon.
I "think" I am one of the lucky one's who received a Project 365 kit but the person who I spoke to on the phone today kept referring to an email that I should have received with the tracking number. I still have not received this email but am hopeful that a kit will be sent.
hopefully they are learning from this! Maybe they can do a pre-order for the next kits! That way they know how many people would like the kits to begin with! I wouldn't mind waiting that long as long as I knew that I would be getting the kit! I think a lot of other people would feel this way as well.
I second what barbie said... there are much more efficient ways of meeting consumer needs - which is, of course a reason you are doing what you are doing, right? Love CK products, but there has to be a BETTER WAY to order!!
PS: Golden question of the week, I'm sure - WILL MORE PROJECT 365 KITS BE ORDERED?!?! Please tell us!
Lisa:
Thanks for finally saying something.
I hope that everything works out for everyone.
Ck needs to get some better customer service. I think that is a necessity.
We know that the kits sell out. That is a given. You can never get an accurate number that is just the way life is.
But, you can improve on your customer service. If that is the one thing that happens as a result of this, then it is a step in the right direction.
Hugs!
Kathy
I think someone else hit the nail on the head, WILL THERE BE MORE KITS? There are many of us that would be happy to wait, we just want that question answered.
I have ordered many of the KOTMs in the past & have never had a problem signing in. Last week I did. With the Project 365, I anticipated there being a quick rush & them selling out quickly so I was trying to log in on December 31st to make sure there weren't any problems with my account. I put one of the older KOTMs in my cart & tried to check out. It didn't recognize me so I made a new account. When I went to check out again, it still didn't recognize me. I never had a chance of getting Project 365 nor am I able to order any of the other kits now. I don't get it! :-(
I love the pre-order idea. I wouldn't have a problem making a commitment many months in advance.
Amy
This kit was advertised in your magazine. I don't think any other kit has ever been hyped up like this. I understand 6 months in advance you have to guess at the quantity, and the economy is bad right now, but considering scrapbooking is a billion dollar industry, and all the hype, don't you think you needed to order more than 4000 kits for the US and international people???
I whave not been able to get two of the kits that I was interested in...the school kit & project 365.
I think a better way of doing this, might be to let people prepay for orders. That way, you would know EXACTLY how many to make. It just seems like a simple solution to me.
I've now given up on trying to order kitrs from Creative Keepsakes, as much as that saddens me.
I'm ill and in the fight for my life (which is why the school kit & project 365 would have been so great for my family) and I just can't deal with the stress of trying to get these popular kits.
Hugs, Kimi
Congrats to your husband on WW.. That is great he lost 10 LB Does he go to the meetings, or does he do it online? Online is a great idea, and has great features with their e-tools
