Thanks for your Concern!
Thanks for all your love and concern during my recovery. I have been buoyed up by your sweet comments and felt loved. This pretty much sums up my week last week:

I was surrounded by family and friends who took great care of me and spoiled me rotten. My good friend, Mel Lloyd, read about the surgery on my blog and a few days later, jumped in her car and drove for two hours round trip to bring me a lovely dinner. I am blessed.
Thank you, everyone.
Just wanted to give you all a great idea. The church leaders in our area asked that every family memorize a certain hymn that we will all stand together and sing in an upcoming church service.
A week ago last Sunday we began the process. Here are my boys trying to memorize the words as we sang it over and over again.

Here's the title and lyrics to the song:
Home can Be a Heaven On Earth
1. Home can be a heav'n on earth
When we are filled with love,
Bringing happiness and joy,
Rich blessings from above--
Warmth and kindness, charity,
Safety and security--
Making home a part of heaven,
Where we want to be.
2. Drawing family near each week,
We'll keep love burning bright.
Serving Him with cheerful hearts,
We'll grow in truth and light.
Parents teach and lead the way,
Children honor and obey,
Reaching for our home in heaven,
Where we want to stay.
3. Praying daily in our home,
We'll feel His love divine;
Searching scriptures faithfully,
We'll nourish heart and mind.
Singing hymns of thanks, we'll say,
"Father, help us find the way
Leading to our home in heaven,
Where we long to stay."

I have to tell you, there's great wisdom in doing even the simplest things as a family. There has been greater love and unity in our home this week. There has been cheerfulness, happiness and joy. We have all been singing the tune and I love it!
My challenge for you? Memorize a poem, song, hymn or scripture together as a family. It doesn't have to be serious--we have memorized some hysterical songs that makes us all giggle. I promise, great things will happen as you do this together.
I'm counting down the days until QVC. Only nine more days until QVC (March 25th, 1-3 p.m.).
Hope you're having a great one.
Lisa

glad you are on the mend...my daughter had a very low iron level ths time last year...she is 13, so hers was thanks to mother nature and the changes girls that age have to deal with....her level was very, very low-but w/ meds we were able to get it up over the summer break...she was also eating ice like crazy!!!..
the song is amazing!....take care!...
Glad you're feeling better. What a lovely idea to learn a song together as a family! Looking forward to your QVC visit! Any TSVs coming up soon?

So glad that you are feeling better. I love the idea to learn a hymn together. I won't sing in church as a family since it is only my hubby and me. He can't hold a tune. Waiting patiently for you on QVC. I have so much that I have bought from QVC. My neice in Lehi calls all the way to California to remind me that you are on.
Have a great week.
Glad you are feeling better!

I love the idea of a Hymn for the family.
I am the Chorister for my Ward.
I love this idea.

Glad you are feeling better. What a lovely idea. Thanks for sharing.

You have such a nice family - you must be so proud to have raised such good kids. Keep getting better!
I'm happy to hear you are feeling better.
Thanks for the idea to memorize something together as a family. I think we are going to work on a Bible verse or two.
You are amazing, I love to pop in on your blog when I get the chance and saw you weren't feeling well. I hope you feel better. I liked the idea of memorizing a hymn as a family, we were challenged to read the Book of Mormon in a few months as a ward a couple years ago and it was really cool. Love it!!! You inspire me to endure...the daily grind, the ups and downs. Hope you are up soon!
Glad to hear you're feeling better & that you had friends & family taking care of you & spoiling you.
you are cute. you wrote none more days left. I assume you meant nine!
Have a great day Lisa ;)
Hey Lisa! So happy to hear that you found some answers and can recover. You are amazing. Judy said you sent her a goodie box while they are in SL. How you had time to do that in midst of your health issues is beyond me. I know she appreciated it more then words could express. Hang in there! We are all praying for you!
First, let me say I'm sorry to hear you had to have surgery but I'm glad you're doing better.
Thank you for posting the hymn, it's beautiful and something we all should remember. Since I am a widow, I'm taking your challenge but with my grandchildren. I think it would be wonderful to have a special poem, hymn and scripture that is something the grandchildren share with me.

I also want to thank you for sharing this hymn. It's beautiful and a wonderful reminder for every family.
I'm taking your challenge but with a twist. I'm going to find a poem, hymn and song that I will memorize with my grandchildren and make it "ours, grandma and kids" so that we will have that to share. Thank you for the idea.
