Summer is in Full Swing!

Just a quick update on Spencer. He's received 411 envelopes from almost all the states and several other countries! He finally decided what to spend his money on. An IPod Touch. And he used the money left over to download some favorite songs. Listening to music is very therapeutic for Spencer and what a treasure for his family to have when he's no longer with them. They'll be able to listen to his favorite music and feel close to him. So--if you donated your $1 to the cause, just consider that you bought him a song!

Now a little bit on what's been happening in my neck of the woods.

Lake Powell, located in Utah and Arizona, really is heaven on earth.

Here is the type of scenery you are surrounded by:

And there's so much shoreline that you see very few other houseboats and ski boats.

Here's the gang from our family who went this year: (Steve bought us all the cool do rags.)

Kade was on a three-week church trip and wasn't able to go. So, Devyn Glass (my step-daughter's sister) came in his place! We love you, Devyn!

This is my sister, Angela's, family.

Ron and Robin Beck and their family came along:

Some really fun teenagers from our neighborhood came for the fun:

And our Florida friends (here are their daughters with my niece, Mallory):

We did so many wonderful actvities:

Really fun times. I was going to post about all the other cool things I've been doing this summer but my son accidentally took my camera to work. So--I'm waiting to show you pictures at the same time.

I'm off for a family reunion for three days in Midway, Utah.

I'll write again soon!

Lisa

Lisa-
I am not sure how I could email you or get in contact with you, but I have a question and concern about an idea presented in the August issue of CK magazine. I know you are a very busy lady but I would appreciate if you could somehow get in contact with me via email.

Lisa,
I've been away from your blog site and while catching up, I read your post about Spencer. My heart goes out to him & his family. I'll be sending my envelope and dollar today. =)

Do you have an update on how he is doing?

Love and hugs!

So glad you had fun at Lake Powell. And that is so amazing that Spencer recieved so much lovin. My mom is still in the hospital. She was in there 3 weeks and home one, and has been back in since. Jerry still has his drain.....so our summer is literally the pits. But we have recieved many blessings. I FINALLY got Kades card in the mail. I haven't been home hardly at all in 2 months......getting really sick of hospital cafeteria food! Have a great one and have some fun for me!!!!

Lisa ... this has nothing to do with your wonderful pictures and stories (which I love) but I wasn't sure where to post this. A few years ago I ordered some page kits from you/QVC. I lost the instructions. Is there anywhere on line to get the PDF of them?

It's one of the very first "pre made" type kits that came out. Unfortunately, I don't even have the name of the whole kit. A couple of the page titles include Beautiful You, Family & True Happiness, Family & So Thankful. I would appreciate any help you might be able to give me.

Thanks!!!!

love the pics, as always! You truly inspire me to do more picture taking and getting layouts done! As for Spencer-sent $1 out recently from my hometown of RI-you said one was needed and I was working on getting it out to him anyway! Thank-you so much for the updates on this very sensitive time matter and my prayers go out to him & his family! You are truly God's messager and hugs to you and your truly blessed family!
