So Long . . . Farewell! Plus Giveaway!
After graduating from college with a degree in communications, I began working at WordPerfect in their customer support department. Nine months later I landed the job of my dreams--an editor for the brand-new WordPerfect Magazine. I soon became the editor in chief of this publication and learned inside and out the entire publishing process--from circulation to design to editorial. And--I absolutely loved it. There was nothing better than creating a monthly publication read by subscribers around the globe.
During this time I became addicted to scrapbooking. I'd stay up until the wee hours of the night cropping, pasting and journaling--creating layouts for my two young boys. One day while out to lunch with a friend (Dianne Hook, owner of DJ Inkers), she asked if I could be the editor of any type of magazine, what would it be? Without hesitation I replied, "A scrapbook magazine." Happy tingles filled me inside!
That day I went home and told my husband, Steve, I was going to start Creating Keepsakes magazine. (This is the first issue!)
I thought he'd brush off my idea and think it was silly but instead he loved it and said he'd love to help me. A huge thanks to Don and Deanna Lambson and Mark Seastrand for also believing in the idea from the very beginning while others were skeptical. They have been the best partners anyone could ever ask for.
That was over 13 years ago (and many hairstyles later) and what an amazing ride! From the first issue coming off the press (we've published close to 125 issues) to 11 years on QVC to an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show, it's been quite the journey that I've been privileged to be involved in.
During my career, I've been dreading the day I'd have to say goodbye but knew it would inevitably come. You see, I've gotten those tingles inside once again. This time they are telling me that my kids are growing up way too fast and that I've got to spend all my time and energy on them. So I am trading in my office suites for sweat pants and lunch appointments for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. And I'll be spending lots of time in my scrapbook room preserving my family's memories. I'll still stay in touch with the folks at the magazine and maybe even write a feature here and there. And, I'll still have my hand in some cool scrapbooking products--like the Lisa Bearnson Memory Keeping Collection.
I feel so much appreciation to our editorial department and staff who have spent countless hours bringing you such a wonderful publication every month. You are in great hands with their expertise. Also a special thanks to our advertisers who have so been so supportive over the years.
Finally, it's really hard saying goodbye to you. I've gained some of my closest friendships through this industry--some of you I've never even met. I send my greatest appreciation and love. My wish for your is that you find joy in the journey."
So that's the news. Thanks to the editorial staff at Creating Keepsakes for the wonderful words on their blog (and for showing some of my most embarrassing hairstyles and pages :) ). You all are the best.
So what's next for me?? For now I will continue writing on this blog--Lisabearnson.com. But if you don't find me here, I will be at Lisabearnson.net.
Once again, thank you for all your support over the years. It's been quite the ride!
With appreciation,
Lisa Bearnson
P.S. So here's the giveaway. Leave me a comment and I'll randomly select three people (Next Monday) to send an autographed copy of the first Creating Keepsakes to!! They've been out of print since 1997 and I've even seen them sold for high dollar amounts on eBay!

What an honor to be the first to say....May God richly bless you and watch over you as you go forth in your new season of life. May you always find the treasures that await you, as you always have. You have given so much of yourself to all of us by sharing who you are and what makes you YOU...for that I am truly thankful, appreciative and inspired! I know you will continue to move mountains, encourage the lonely, comfort the broken hearted and change lives everywhere you go. All that and continue to raise those incredible children of yours!
Blessings to you Lisa!!!!! With love, Sherry
I remember receiving that first issue in my mailbox years ago!
I wish YOU all the joy possible in your new journey. You touched so many through your magazine but you will be affecting generations by being with your children - best of luck in all your future endeavors!
thanks for all the time you have put into this magazine...have loved receiving it for the past year...and reading it for many more.
Wow Lisa, its been an amazing ride, CK has long been my favourite magazine. You will be missed.

Quite a story and an amazing journey! Thank you for inspiring so many including myself, not just by your contributions in Creating Keepsake but in all you do in your life! You are an amazing person and I look forward to hearing about the next chapters in your life! God Bless You and your Family... A huge gratitude to your family for their part in sharing you with the world during your journey with Creating Keepsakes! Time is precious...the choice and opportunity to savor every moment with your loved one is unquestionable! You will be missed but not forgotten!
I'll be so sad to see all of my favorites leaving CK magazine. It definitely won't be the same without you. :( Good luck with your new adventures and with your family.
I wish you the best of everything!
I do believe I have that first issue of Creating Keepsake and most of the issues that followed. I thoughly enjoyed your years on QVC and was sad to not see you and Dave pal around like brother and sister, what fun. But anyhow, I wish you the best and I know whatever you do, it will be the best. I truly understand that family is important, I lost my mother May 11, 2009, she was 101 and for the last 10 years I was able to stay at home and care for her, years I will cherish the rest of my life. I will definitely follow you on your blog.
Take care.....Gloria
Wow. Thank you for helping me take up a hobby that has helped me appreciate my family, my life and also hone my design and photography skills. Even though I am no longer a subscriber, I appreciate the good work you did in making this hobby such an integral part of my life-and the lives of many others. God bless you in your next step in life.
Lisa,
Thank you so much for starting CK, which has been such a valuable resource to us all. I am sad to see you leaving CK but as you said, there is a season for everything.
Good luck in your future journey. I'm glad that we will still be able to follow your blog.
Sorry to see you leave such a wonderful magazine but been present with your family is the best job ever.
Lisa,
You will be truly missed by so many, but this is such an exciting time in your life and spending time with your family should be the most important thing. Enjoy every moment of it! I can't begin to thank you enough for all you have done for me and so many others. I wish you the very best in all that you do. Love, Trina
Lisa,
Thank you so much for what you have done for scrapbooking. I have been a huge fan of yours since the first issue of Creating Keepsakes. Have fun with your children. Good luck. Thank you again.
Lisa,
I remember the first time I found your magazine. I was at the pharmacy waiting on Emma's prescription. She had been sick and was just a little baby...I was so worried. The magazines were right by the pharmacy area so I decided to look. There was one of the first CK issues. From the moment I opened it I got those tingles you were talking about!! I bought the magazine, found some Francis Meyer stickers and papers and got to work. My first album is still my favorite even though it's not much to look at (compared to how I scrap now) it's filled with the cutest photos of Jackson and Emma when they were just babies. I love it!!
THANK YOU for CK!! It helped me find a hobby that I LOVE!! It helped me find friends that are still friends and they are GOOD, GOOD friends!! It has helped me preserve my family memories that otherwise may have been lost. I am so grateful!!
The other thing you and your magazine did...was it helped me know, that when we found the Gospel that it WAS TRUE!! The day Elder Bezzant entered my living room as a missionary I remembered the many layouts I had seen in CK about Mission Homecomings and Temple visits. I didn't know what they were when I read them in your magazine...but once I was introduced to them with the Gospel I began to understand the importance...the love that surrounded those pages. Reading your magazine I felt that sense of family that so many LDS families have and I knew I wanted that for my family. Dave, Jackson, Emma and I are so BLESSED!!
The day I met you at CKC in Kansas City and I shared our Gospel story with you was such a blessing, too. I never dreamed we would one day be friends, be staying at your home and get to know your family. The Bearnson Family is a family that we look up to. You and Steve are such an example to Dave and I. We are so grateful.
You have touched THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of lives, Lisa with your smile, with your kind and generous way. Like the wall hanging I made for you years ago says You are GENUINE.
I am so happy for you!! Enjoy your family, your church callings and maybe now that you won't be quite as busy you can all come to the Ackman house and let us treat you like you have done for us!!
Love ya' so much!!
Les
I have to say I'm not surprised, it's kind of a trend these days, Stacy, Becky, Ali, Cathy, all the good ones off to other things. It's sad but I wish you all the best and thank you for all you've shared with me over the years. You truly are an inspiration! Best of luck and enjoy yourself!
Maybe now that you aren't so 'workbusy', I'll Finally run into you around town :). See you at Roxberry or the like.
Enjoy.
Thanks Lisa, for inspiring me to scrapbook my family's memories. I really enjoy the creativity of the whole process. Enjoy your family and enjoy scrapbooking those memories!
Carol
Lisa - -
You have been such a blessing to me!! I am truly thankful for the inspiration - but so much more than that! Your words of wisdom, stories about life, how you treat others - - just everything!!! I wish I had the chance to meet you in person.
Enjoy your children!!! It goes way to fast! Thank you for continuing to share on your blog! It is a daily stop for me!
God Bless you Lisa and THANK YOU!!
Cindy
Wow Lisa! I really have looked up to you as a mom, woman in the business world, and as the leading person who brought scrapbooking to what it is today. I was sadden when you left QVC ( really enjoyed watching you on that!!) I will miss reading your notes on the first page of CK! GOD BLESS you and your family. I will look forward to reading your blogs and your memory keeper line! Thanks for all the insperation and best of luck.
Dear Lisa,
I am so excited for your next "Journey" in life. You have been a great example and inspiration to all. I have loved Creating Keepsakes Magazine and watching your shows on QVC. When my magazine comes, I always read the editorial first. I always love to see your pages and hear about what is happening in your life.
I can honestly say, for many years you have been my hero. And through scrapbooking, you have become my friend. I have seen your great love for others and how you have reached out and touched their life.
I love you! Lori C.
I am so sad to hear this, but inevitably, we, as mothers and wives, do what we always do, put our families first. I will miss your clever ideas, your funny joking around with your buddies from QVC, but most of all, I will miss your input on the magazine.
One thing I will treasure is the time we spent together on the Hawaiian cruise and our encounter in the Walmart on Kauai!
Love your babies, Lisa and I hope one day you will return to us again with gusto!
i am without words. i really don't know what to say. you will be missed. you have made this hobby what it is today. your efforts, wow. we will all miss you and are forever grateful for what you've done.

You have to listen to the little voice within you-like a child, you can only ignore a voice for a little while, then it gets louder and louder until you acknowledge it.
May God continue to watch over you as you embark on the new journey in your life.
Thank you for sharing your life with us and I will look forward to following you on your blog.
Good luck and happiness in whatever you next journey is. My mom passed away this summer and I can hear her words so well right now. She would say to you that "the best is yet to come!"
I think its sad for us to see you go, but I also think it's great that you are leaving to spend more time with your family.
Lots of Love to you,
Holly

May God continue to bless you as you find joy in your journey!

I have been with you since the beginning and appreciate you stepping back and taking care of your family. I also stepped back this year and as a family we drastically eliminated "busyness" from our lives. I am so glad we did because we didn't know what the Lord was preparing us to face this year. I admire you greatly and wish you this best in everything you do.
Congratulations on following all of your hopes and dreams and "tingles"!!You created a wonderful magazine which has benefitted so many in their quest to preserve the past. You will be missed!
Everyone will be interested in what the future holds for you and hope that you will continue to create new ideas and inspiration for your fellow scrapbookers!
Best wishes, Carol
Good luck to you in your future endeavors!

Lisa, thank you for your hard work and for all that you have invested into this wonderful hobby (hobby seems to be too shallow of a word). I will be forever grateful to your creative influence. Thankyou so much!
It is because of your willpower that manyu children have their lives documented. They can hold their 1st Birthday party in their hands, their 1st trip to Disneyland, or look at a grandparent they they may never of had the opportunity to meet. Thank you for giving me the drive, the ideas and the passion to scrapbook. So deeply appreciated!
I miss you already!!!
I so miss seeing you on QVC and now reading your monthly letter in CK!
Thanks for keeping this blog! It is an inspiration and a highlight for me!!
Take care Lisa!!
Lisa,
Thank you so much for starting Creating Keepsakes!! It was my scrapbooking bible when I first started scrapbooking in 2000.
Enjoy your family!! They grow up so fast.
Good luck in your new endeavors (which I know will be awesome, because you are!!)
I was fortunate enough to go shopping in a limo with you at CKU Anaheim many years ago. You were so down to earth and made us all feel like we were someone special.

I will continue to follow your blog! Thanks for all the inspiration, words of wisdom and the feeling of "knowing you" even though we have never met. Enjoy your children - the time will not be wasted - they grow up too fast!

I am a firm believer, that family comes first....YAY for you for achieving all that you have with CK since its inception...I also firmly believe that good things will come and that when God closes a door, he opens a window. May your future endeavers be richly blessed!

Wow! Creating Keepsakes is losing all of their original team members, how sad!
However, being a stay at home Mommy myself I completely understand why you want to spend more time with your precious family! I wish you all the best in your new job!
Love,
Heather
Thank you for founding Creating Keepsakes. I have thoroughly enjoyed the magazine each month. I'm a stay at home Mom of a 1 year old and a 3 year old. The magazine stays by my bed and each night I savor one article before I go to sleep.
I'm very curious what the January issue will hold with you, Becky and Ali all saying good-bye at the same time. I'm almost scared to look at blogs anymore!!
I'm sad to see you leaving the magazine but fully understand why. Family always has to come 1st. I'll miss you!
So sorry to see you go, but understandable. Time goes by so fast and the kids are grown before you know it. I'm glad you are going to continue your blog. I love reading about your beautiful family and your beautiful spirit always inspires me to be a better person. I have always loved CK and when I saw that first issue I thought I need to go on a quest to find one...Maybe I'll win this one. Take care and God Bless you.
Louise Murr
i've been a subscriber since the 1st issue. you'll be missed. i wish you much happiness!
It's sad to see yet another important member of the scrapbooking community leave CK. Sending you good wishes for many happy memories in the years to come while you spend more time with your family!!!

WOW, this is so sad, but at the same time very exciting. I am happy for you, you get to start a new journey. May God Bless you and your family and this new beginning.
You will truly be missed.
Dear Lisa, As a subscriber from the beginning, I can't even begin to explain how much you will be missed by your loyal CK fans. However, more than your presence in the scrapbooking world, I will miss watching your family grow up together. I have every single issue of CK on the shelfs above my desk and every single month I have been drawn to read your editors page first. Watching your children grow and the incredible love and bonds you seem to share has been so uplifting. I have to admit I have even gotten a little choked up in the past few years as we've seen your little boys turn into fine (and handsome!) young men, and your daughters are such beautiful and sweet young ladies. Please keep us posted through your blogs, as your family in some ways has become a part of our families. Enjoy your next steps, Andrea from CA
You will be missed greatly! I wish you all the best, and I hope you keep blogging regularly :-)
-Corinna

Lisa, you are my favorite scrapbooker "celebrity" and I've always regretted never meeting you - even on the one CKU-SJ that I was able to attend (you were not teaching that time). Thank you for bringing to us my favorite scrapbooking magazine and for getting this amazing hobby in just about every home I know.
Thank you for sharing all of your inspiration with us over these years. As a mother to four small children i understand the value of spending time with them and theygrowning up way to fast. Best wishes to you and your family.

Hi Lisa, I would love a copy :)
Good luck & God bless! You have such a big heart!
While it's sad for the scrapbooking work, it's a very happy time for you. Our children do indeed grow up way too fast and I am glad you are taking the time to enjoy them. Every minute is a blessing. Thank you for all you have done for the sb world and I pray for many blessings in your family life.
Praying for continued blessings in the next chapter of your life! Thank you for being such a huge part of the scrapbooking industry! I have the first CK magazine and I will cherish it!
Lisa: How can I top Scrapwordsmom (Les)and what she said??? I can, however thank you for your wonderful example to others. As a member of the Church you keep a perfect example of Christ-like behavior in the world. Thank you for not being ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and setting a great example of it to the scrapbooking world. I have many copies of CK, but never did get the first issue. I love what I have learned from you, your magazine, and other great scrapbook experts like Becky Higgins and Stacy Julian. You guys are great. Thanks for all of us.
Maryann Larkin
Good luck in your new journey! :) CK will sure miss you! ~Anne

Thank you for the inspiration you are to so many others! I am so thankful that you got that very first "tingle" that led to Creating Keepsakes.
I have been a reader of this magazine since my jr high days back in the 90's; it is by far my favorite. I'm sure I speak for others as well as myself when I say I am so sad to see you go, but I am thrilled for your extra time with family in the near future!

Wow! What an important decision you have made. I wish you the best of luck and I sure appreciate your decision to start CK...it is a huge part of why I am a scrapbooker today. :)
I am so very thankful for you, Lisa! You have given me inspiration, hope, guidance; in scrapbooking and my personal life. We have met several times a CKU in Provo. You told me to "find joy in the journey," which has truly changed my life. Thank you Lisa!!! Enjoy your beautiful family.

YOU are responsible. It was YOU that got me into this hobby. I didn't know it existed until I saw you on QVC. It is YOU that is responsible for all the scrap stuff that fills my house. And it is YOU that I think of, and am thankful for, when I see the albums I have made for my family and friends. YOU have made such an impact on so many lives, and we bless you for it. Thank you so much for having the courage to create a magazine that many said was a pipe dream. And thanks also, to Steve and the kids for sharing you with all of us for so long.
Enjoy your time with the family. I truly hope that I will see YOU down the road.
Nina

Lisa, I just want to say that I have followed your blog for over a year and have subscribed to you magazine since early 2000. I have enjoyed your column and have loved feeling like a part of something special, this world known as scrapbooking. Thanks for all your hard work in this industry. You will be missed. :( Of course, I will continue to follow your blog! :) Take care and enjoy every bit of your new journey!
Noble and brave change to your life, I'm sure the rich blessings of family life will take away any ache in your heart that leaving CK gives you. I've really enjoyed your magazine--thank you, thank you, thank you for the years of inspiration and the many transformations the magazine helped me make in my own creativity! Take good care.

I posted on the CK blog earlier in the week - but want to say again how you've blessed each of our lives by being willing to take the risk to start CK - and you've chanegd the scrapbook world forever! THANK YOU! I actually bought the very first issue - but back in the day I was into tearing magazines apart according to topic - I would dearly love a copy. You're very sweet to offer the opportunity to win one!!
Good luck to you Lisa, I"m glad you'll still have your blog, I really enjoy reading it!
I've enjoyed all your work for many years and have bought many items thru QVC! I wish you the greatest blessings. I, too, after 10 years of providing childcare, decided it was time to move on. Embrace your life and the lives of your children, for you know, you will never get that back. Thank you for showing us all that you have in preserving our families history and legacies. You are greatly appreciated by me and you will be missed. I will continue to visit your blog. God Bless you and your family.
Lisa, I am sad to see you leave CK...but as a mother of 4 myself...I totally understand that LIFE passes by fast...and our children do grow up FAST along with it. I wish you health, happiness, and many happy memories in this new chapter of your life. GOD BLESS!!!
Thank you for all your hard work all these years. We really appreciate it. Can't wait to see what God has in store for you!
Well, first I was over at Ali Edwards' blog and read her news and now this? I just don't know if I can cope. Haha. I imagine I will be fine in time, but you (and Becky and Ali) will be SORELY missed. I wish you the very best in your future endeavors!

Lisa, I have been a subscriber since the beginning of the magazine. I will miss you and I'm sure others are saying the same. You have given us your life for for over 13 years and I appreciate everything you have done for my "crafting".
Enjoy the next chapter in your life. You so deserve it!
Lisa,
I am so sad to see you pause...I know how much family means and how fast time flies. I know this is a lead from Our Lord for you to pause.. But I'm sure after the kids are grown and you and Steve are sitting in a rocking chair on the porch, you will look at each other, and once again scrapbooking will be published by you guys. It may be a "senior" edition, but it will be an edition. So, see ya later girl.
Love Linda

You have inspired me for many years to try new things and made my hobby an obsession....
The biggest blessing because of you...you make me want to be a better mom, to love the little things, and forget about the world and focus on my little world inside the 4 walls of my home. I have always taken your advice and stories to heart!
Thanks!

Lisa, You have carved a path so many of us to follow. You are an inspiration to me as you have always taught us its the memories that are important, not so much the best scrapbook page... Here's to you making many more memories with your family.
I am lucky to have met you at CKU Orlando and followed you through the years.

Pick me! Pick me!
Wow! What a fantastic journey. You have inspired many (myself included), and your sincere concern for others is a bright example. I hope you get to enjoy every single second with your kids. I took the same plunge a year ago and have not regretted one second (including all the dirty socks!).
Thanks again for all you have done and all you continue to do :)
Lisa,
How fitting that this happen right before Thanksgiving.. I have much to be thankful for. Thank you for bringing scrapbooking into my life. I'm so sad to hear you'll no longer be editor at Creating Keepsakes but fully understand the importance of family first. I do hope to see you contribute an article from time to time to the magazine. Best wishes!
I am leaving this comment NOT to resell CK, but because it has been a part of my life! I am so sad! I would LOVE a copy to frame. CK has been with me through 11 years of marriage, and (so far) 2 adopted children! I was hoping you would be there with me through more of my journey! Becky, Ali, now you?! What will happen to CK. I love you! I wish you every happiness, and am thankful for ALL you have done!
You have provided us all with much inspiration. I am saddened but at the same time I understand.
Best of luck to you!
Sincerely, Cathy
Blessings to you on the next part of the journey!
It's sad to hear you go, but I know you'll enjoy yourself. Have fun!
Good Luck to you Lisa! I've so enjoyed all you have done at CK!
You will be missed, but God Bless as you start on your new adventures!
hugs, teri
Lisa,
It has been an absolute joy reading your magazine and seeing your layouts. You are the kind of person I would love to live next door to as you have such wonderful family values. Best wishes on your future endeavors and enjoy family time as the children do grow up way too fast. I know!

We will miss your beautiful spirit in our future CK mags. We already miss your fun appearances on QVC. We wish you well and enjoy every moment with your children. They do grow up toooo fast!!! Thank you for being my inspiration for capturing every moment in my children's lives... I will always be grateful for enriching my life with memories. God bless to you and you loved ones.
Lisa, You helped this industry probably more than you will ever know. Many of us are forever grateful. I will always associate Lisa Bearnson with Scrapbooking. We have the product, knowledge, and skills because you cared enough to bring us out of the closet.
Thank you,
I know you are going to go forth and do many more great things!
Susan M.
So sad to see you leave. It was sad to see Becky and Ali and now you leave. My subscription is up and I don't know that I will be renewing!
You will be missed!
You have been such an inspiration to the scrapbooking world! Good luck in whatever you choose to do next, and enjoy every moment with your beautiful family!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Lisa I wish you the best. I had the opportunity to meet you at a CK convention in Tulsa OK two years ago. It was an awesome time. Gods blessings
I am so sad to see you leaving CK!!! I will also miss you on QVC with David, who else will put stickers on him??
I hope ot run into you someday here in Utah!!!! I live on Hill AFB, if you ever want a tour I can hook you up with a great tour guide (my hubby)!!!!
I wish you the best of luck. I'll miss you in the magazine. I already miss you on QVC.
I'm sure you'll miss it too. But, spending time with your kids is so rewarding. Enjoy them, they grow up way too fast.
Good Luck!

Would love the first issue of CK to put up in my scrapbookroom!
Lisa,
Thank you for what you have done for scrapbooking and all of us around the world. You inspire us and I know you will continue to in whatever you decide to do!
I must be a jinx because I went to my first CKC at Valley Forge this year and got a two year subscription to CK. What is going to happen at the magazine? becky left, Ali left, and now you! I can understand why, but dang...it's so depressing.
I already was missing you on QVC and now the magazine.
I hope your future will continue to be bright and full of adventure.
I cannot believe you are leaving but I totally understand your decision. I am having a rough 3rd pregnancy and facing the same decision about my teaching job...nothing is more important than family! Best of luck and enjoy all the perks of staying home!
I just hope that the magazine continues to thrive cause I have loved it so much, but 3 great people have just announced that they are leaving!
I feel quite sad over all the exits that CK is experiencing. I will miss your thoughts and stories . Good luck to you and enjoy this new journey. Thank you for all you have done!

Please share your "Sunflower Quote" from the Creative Photography Retreat in San Jose a year ago. I was hoping our paths would crossing again so I could ask you in person. I'm doing a "Sunflowers in my Life" album and wanted to include your words.
Barbarab
Could you please share again your "Sunflower" quotation you used at CPR in San Jose last year? It was wonderful and sunflowers are very special to me too. I'd like to quote you my "Sunflowers in My Life" album I'm working on. I was hoping to be able to ask you in person when next our lives crossed, but that hasn't happened this year.

Lisa we first met in Atlanta years ago and my life has been enriched by scrapbooking thanks to you! I wish you the greatest of blessings in your life... enjoy every moment with your precious family. Thanks for the memories, Susan
I like all your hairstyles! :) Best of Luck and God Bless you and your family, Lisa. We all love you on here and hope you don't quit the blog any time soon (yours was the first blog I'd ever read!) :( I didn't even know what a blog was!!! ha.
Good luck Lisa! I know you will be successful no matter what you do! Thank you for your contribution to our scrapbooking world!
thanks for everything!
Lisa, Thanks for all you have done for scrapbooking and I will miss seeing you regularly in CK. Enjoy your kids and scrapbooking for yourself again!
Lisa, congrats on the many years (and accomplishments!) at CK. Leaving the workplace for the Momplace is challenging; but there is no greater reward. Good luck in all of your future endeavors! xo
I am so going to miss you in CK. It has been fun watching your family grow! Thank you for all you have done for this hobby!
Christine
You will definitely be missed. I have learned a great deal from you, and not just about scrapbooking! :) I'm sure whatever you put your mind to next will be hugely successful. I look forward to finding out more.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh I can't believe it's the end of an era! I completely agree with what you are doing, your kids are growing up fast and you really need to spend time with them and connect with them, form the foundations that will last forever. I wish you the best of everything in your future. I had the pleasure of meeting you and Kade at a CKC and will always remember your enthusiasm for this hobby we all love. Godspeed!
--Sherrie
oh Lisa you will be missed. But, emphasis should be spent on Family, children do grow up so fast, so on that note, you are my inspiration still cuz you value that alot.
I always prayed for 3 and that is what I got. I always say, becareful what you pray for. too bad I never got to meet you but, I support this 100%.
take care and Good luck!!!!!
You will be missed. :)
Sorry to hear your leaving CK. I hope they will continue to live up to the standards you've set. Best of luck in all your future endeavors! I'd love to win a cop of the 1st Ck. I've been scrapping a little over 8 years and can't believe how much has changed in the industry. It would be a kick to see the very 1st issue.
Best Wishes to you as you focus on what is most important...your family. You will never regret your choice. I admire and I am thankful for your example. Blessings....
Christa
Good luck, so sad to hear but the future is always an adventure if you have the right atitude, which I'm sure you have, enjoy the ride.
Linda
WOW! Best wishes to you, Lisa. I have surely enjoyed the magazine and all the fun that has come from CKC and such, but there's nothing like time with your kids. I totally understand and wish you all the best!
Good luck on your new venture!
Lisa,
I've followed you for so long on qvc, your blog and of course the magazine- since almost that first publication. I feel like we're friends even though you don't know me! I just wanted to say that I truly appreciate your inspiration over the years. I'm happy for you to have more time with your family, just know you will be missed by many!
Lots of love, Ashleigh
Wow! This is the season to be thankful, and I am thankful that I met you. Even though it was a brief encounter for you, it was a big thing for me. I enjoyed watching you on QVC, I enjoyed your classes, and I am thankful for what you have given to this hobby and the people who enjoy it. thanks, Lisa. Enjoy time with your family; it's important.
Congratulations Lisa! I always tell my son, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!" Hard words to live by, but if you can . . . not a moment of life is lost to sadness.
Thank you SO much for making it "happen"! :)
You, Katie Couric and my mom - all worried about your hairstyles over the years.
DON'T WORRY.
You look great no matter how your hair is cut. :)
It feels like a lot of goodbyes in a short time: Simple Scrapbooks, Becky Higgins, and now you (and I just saw on Ali Edwards blog that she will be closing shop on Studio A as well). Many changes... I hope that CK can regroup and continue to be there for us.
Best wishes to you as you too regroup and refocus on what is most important to you now. We'll miss you in CK but will look forward to seeing you continue to sprinkle the scrapbooking world with your warmth and pearls as you have time.
congrats on your new endeavors, Lisa!
