The Family that Plays Together . . .
Thank you blogging friends for being so terrific with Gabe and for sending letters from all over the country and world. They should be arriving any minute and I can only imagine the look on his face when he sees his mailbox. It's still not too late to send a card and a $1.00. Or just a $1.00 if you're feeling overwhelmed with the season. See my blog entry below for more details.
Here are the two random winners for the fun giveaway.

Besides the hustle and bustle of the holidays, our family has been staying very active. Here are some of our favorite things to do together:
1. Dodge ball. Seriously--if you haven't invested in some dodge balls yet, you must! It's a super fun game that a lot of people can play. Our family loves to go to our church gymnasium and play against our family and friends. (Don't use a basketball. I don't know why Collin is holding one. It would hurt! Also Brecken is in a stage where she likes to act goofy in our pictures : ) !)
Racquetball is another family favorite. I used to compete when I was in college and newly married and I LOVE this game. It's been fun to play with my family and teach them the rules and some skills. Steve has always been a great competitor and Kade's become really good too.
Then there's the sport of flag football. This is a total blast to play with the whole family. Here's Sage--she just caught a pass and is making a touchdown.

Kade also scored an amazing touchdown.
We've also enjoyed cheering Collin on at his Lone Peak basketball games. Go Knights!
Hope you're putting aside some time to play this holiday season. Let me know what you're doing for fun!!
Can't wait to show you the amazing Christmas scrapbook that came in the mail. Plus--you're going to bust a gut when I tell you about Collin's 12 Days of Christmas.
I'll write again soon.

Hi Lisa,
Joey loves to play dodge ball at school. I love how you are so family oriented. I seem to spend time with Joey, but Steve just isn't always a part of it. How do you get your family to always take group photos? Mine driv me coo coo! They make it more trouble than it is. Merry Christmas! Looking forward to the Christmas Scrapbook and Collin's 12 days of Christmas!
Hugs!
Colleen
Fun at our house the last few weeks has included baking cookies to share with family and friends, making a quillo for my lovely daughter-in-law, wrapping presents, making special gift tags, decorating the house and just spending time together. There has been some heartache...a dog lost.... We are looking forward to the entire family being together for Christmas - the first in 7 years. During this time, we've added a daughter, almost added a son and are looking forward to the first grandbaby!!!! It doesn't get any better than to be together! I've always said it doesn't get any better than to have your children around you...and we are looking forward to the days....
i think we all need a little more 'fun' in our holiday - especially with the kids home from school - there always seems to be so much to do and other things to think about/do.
Lisa, could you please post info on the clocks-I have emailed a few times but no response. Thanks :)
In New Zealand we call flag football - Ripper Rugby. It is played by children 8 years and under as a Saturday competition during winter. Once children turn 8 they play tackle rugby.
Have a lovely Xmas
Lisa, I think there's something wrong with your rss feeds. On my reader it has the title each time you post, but when I click on it, it won't let me come to your page. Just kinda weird.
I'm sending my card to Gabe today.
