A miracle has happened! Remember Spencer, my little friend who you all sent dollar bills to? I met him for the first time in August and at that time, he wasn't doing very well. In fact, the outlook was grim. Well--he recently went through treatments and tests and his cancer is GONE! Really--there is no more cancer. I know it was all your prayers and dollars sent on his behalf that pulled him through. He bought an iPod and tunes with the money you sent and has found so much joy from his music. Thank you so much for all the support.

Now I have another big favor. My sister, Carolyn, called me last night to tell me about Gabe. This little guy's family are good friends with Carolyn and her husband who all live in Ohio.

Just a few weeks ago, Gabe was diagnosed with a rare lung cancer and the family found out yesterday he only has days left. You can read his story here. Make sure you have Kleenex--it's heart wrenching. (His mom, Wendy, is a big scrapbooker.) The only thing Spencer wants are Christmas cards. Wouldn't it be neat to send dollar bills like we did for Spencer? Think how much fun Gabriel will have opening all the letters and discovering a dollar bill in each one. Spencer had a lot of fun tracking where each letter came from. He ended up getting a dollar from every state and even some foreign countries. Please help us help Gabriel have a happy Christmas. Send a Christmas card with a dollar bill or just an envelope with a dollar bill. (Just one favor--please don't say "get well" because there is no cure for this cancer.)

P.S. Just got an update about Gabe. Make a Wish jumped through hurdles to make Gabe's wish come true. He is leaving for Disney World tomorrow. (His family knows it's a great possibility that he may pass away in Florida. If this happens, his mom and dad will enjoy getting the cards and will use the money for funeral expenses). Also, he is getting baptized in his church tonight. Very touching.
