On to another cute relationship. My little neighbor girl, CJ, just adores our dog. She will sit in the dog’s cage with Maggie for what seems like hours. They totally speak the same language–the universal language of love. Last Friday night, CJ’s mom, Portia, called to see if Maggie could sleep over. Of course I said yes–I was thrilled to have a night off from the dog’s snoring! At 4:00 a.m. CJ started to cry. Portia got up to make her a bottle but by the time she got to her crib, the crying was stopped. Maggie had heard CJ and had jumped in her crib to comfort her. The two were sleeping side by side!
It’s all about relationships!
I often stop by my parents house on Sunday nights. I always get a little chuckle out of my dad and his best friend and neighbor, DeRae. Now my dad rarely gets out of the house because of his poor health. But he just adores hanging out on the front lawn with DeRae. (DeRae is my brother-in-law’s father–they happen to live next door!) They talk about their childhoods, the weather and about their latest ailment. I always sneak them a treat but I’m sworn to secrecy that I won’t tell their wives! (Neither are suppose to eat many sweets.) I love the sweetness of this relationship!

So glad so many people are there to hold my hand through the “stumbles” of life.
Hope your week will be great. I’ll be “girls-only” camping with my daughters and a bunch of friends.

It's good to read your blog. I just copied pictures of my son in a dog cage with 3 weiner dogs. I'd love to send it to you, but not sure where.
Thanks for sharing about all the wonderful relationships you are blessed to witness.
absolutely priceless…every one of them. Your Dad and his buddy, your neighbor and dog, and Sage, what a cute little gal. Wishing I was camping with you…enjoy.
Darling pictures…..I enjoy you sharing your family with us. Nana Vaughan

Thanks for the stories! You always brighten my day!
Aww, this is a sweet post! Love all the pics. I guess Sage is grateful to Collin for making her a tree house!!! How long has Kade been gone now? Seems like a long time!!!
How precious are these moments! Thanks for sharing.
Love the quote. This is a cool time for Sage and Collin to spend time together.Cade will be home sooner than you think. When my friends told me that I just couldn't imagine they knew what they were talking about even tho they had been thru it but they were right. Have a fun time camping. We to are off to Mt. Rainier for a few days.
Hi Lisa,
I am a long time follower/fan though I don't comment often. My family and I will be traveling to SLC, UT the week after labor day and I was wondering if you would be making any appearances/be anywhere where I might be able to meet you/take a photo with you?
I was suppose to meet you at the CPR (photo retreat in Connecticut in Oct 2008) but you had a scheduling conflict that had you arrive Saturday and that was the day I left.
If possible; could you please email me either way at ktortorea4@hotmail.com. I didn't have your email to send this there, sorry for posting it here. Thanks so much!
