The signs have been hung. The house has been cleaned. Kade is in the air coming home.
This sign is front and center as you drive into our neighborhood. It celebrates FIVE young men coming home from their missions within four weeks of each other.
My sweet friend, Janette, made this sign. The “Welcome home” has glitter on it. Sooooo cute!
Words can’t explain the joy I feel! My baby’s coming home in two hours eighteen minutes!
I’ll share photos soon!
Thanks for all your support while traveling this path.
Love, Lisa

So Happy for your family! You should be so proud of your son, in this day and age to put God and church before self. Very inspiring!
so excited for you all – to have everyone under the same roof!!! enjoy enjoy enjoy
Can’t wait to hear all about it.
God Bless
I tear up every time you talk about him for the past 2+ years! I’m so excited for you and the family!
I am so excited for you, i was just telling my cousin that stopped by!!! Hope you bring Kleenex- hugs Carol
Lisa, I’m thrilled for you and your family! We had a visit by 2 wonderful young missionaries the other day, and I’m afraid I kept them a little long, pestering with questions and mothering them (it was cold and I thought they needed to step inside to at least warm up for a few minutes and get hand warmers!) – and I told them about Kade like he’s my best friend’s son – yeah….I’m a dork. Yay!!!! I’m sure it seemed long to you, but those 2 years flew by to me!
Give him a hug from me, I have watched your children grow up and you have shared so much of your family that I feel as though I know all of you. So glad you have him home.
Happy Birthday Lisa!!!!!! The best ever, right?
Congrats! I am sure it will be a late night in your house !
Have a wonderful reunion! It will be great that your family is all together again.
WELCOME HOME!!!!!!!!! Can’t imagine how excited you are!
Ahhhhh, I’m sure you can relax now….:) Hope it was a sweet homecoming for Kade!
Woo-hoo! I’ve been thinking about you all day. I am nervous that I am going to be a blubbering, sobbing, smiling fool when my son Aaron gets home in August. Know that Kade will love seeing you fall apart with joy, though. These boys can tell we love them! And talk about a nice birthday present!
So happy for you and your family, enjoy this special time!
Oh my I DO have goosebumps. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to hear the stories, and see the pictures!
WELCOME HOME ELDER BEARNSON i am so happy for you and your family -
Dear Lisa,
I am so excited for you. How wonderful that you finally are getting to see your son after 2 years.
regards
Woo-hoo!!! Your son is H-O-M-E!!! You survived in the exclusive club as a Missionary Mom-just in time to do it all again with Collin. LOL.
My son arrived in Thailand one week ago. (He’s absolutely loving it there.) I’m feeling better after your recent pep talk. However, I’m still counting down the days until Elder Hansen’s return! Only 645 days…
I also wish you a very happy, happy birthday. (I’ve been a fan of yours for 10 years, and I love how you let us see a little slice of your everyday life.) Thanks for all your wit and wisdom and the great papercrafting ideas!
Have you let Kade go yet? That’s is so exciting that his mission is over. We have some of the missionaries in our area over for dinner and game night. They seem to enjoy it. I just remember what you wrote two years ago when Kade left about opening your home up to these young men and inviting them in. So we have and my teenagers have really benefited from the experience. For the most part we have been lucky that most of the missionaries in our area have been from our home state of Utah.
According to Creating Keepsakes – today’s your birthday!!! Happy Birthday !!!!
Hope you and your WHOLE family are enjoying time together!
Very exciting! It seems like yesterday you were saying goodbye.
Wishing you all a wonderful homecoming celebration!
Amen Lisa….I know you are overjoyed!!!
Congrats on your boy (now a man), coming home! Enjoy your time reconnecting with your whole family. Love to read your blog, and keep up with the family.
Lisa, I know your son will be home by now but I have only just read your post and I have tears in my eyes with joy for you. I do hope that you can drag yourself away from his side to post again soon.
