These past 13 days have been wonderful. It’s like a fairy tale come true–my entire family all together in our little castle!
Four days after Kade returned home, he gave a “homecoming talk” at church and then we had family and friends gather at our home for brunch. My sweet neighbors, the Jensen family, got up at the crack of dawn (6 a.m.) and made 225 Egg McMuffins for this special occasion (they were better than McDonalds!).
Many special people attended. Here is Kade with two of his former mission companions:
I was excited to see these dear friends, Becky and David Higgins, at church:
I knew they were in town and was thrilled they came to support our family. Becky and I have had an amazing journey together these past 15 years and will always be by each other’s side.
It was interesting to look around the room and realize how many friends were there who I’ve met through scrapbooking. What a blessing to be involved in this wonderful hobby!
These dear friends were my “kitchen help” and did a fabulous job.
Kade loved the day but was out the minute he sat down at the end of the day:
What a special day for all of us!
Guess what my pal, Marci Leishman, has been up to?
She took these simple memo pads:
And made them into a work of art:
