Today I had a jillion things on my to-do list. Most of them didn’t get done.
Instead–I dropped everything to go to Farmington Bay–a wetland on the Great Salt Lake that attracts over 200 species of migrating waterbirds, songbirds and raptors. It is only opened from the middle of September through the end of February which was today. My pal, Pam Taylor, has been visiting the bay weekly for the past five years and has become obsessed with taking pictures of the birds. Her enthusiasm got to me and I knew this was my chance to go. It was simply a spectacular afternoon–we literally saw hundreds of birds. Here are some of Pam’s photos mixed with mine:
This is a Tundra Swan:
The Pelicans in flight over the snowy mountains were breathtaking:
They were equally beautiful when they landed in the water.
There are literally hundreds of bald eagles flying and “lounging’ around. They migrate here before they fly to Alaska and will all be gone by next week. They love this tree:
And they love to spread their 90-inch wingspan and fly like an eagle! (no pun intended):
Ducks and pheasants just make me happy:
So–when I found out it closed today for the season, I knew I had to go. Wow! If you’re from Utah or ever visit Utah, you must gander over to these wetlands. What an amazing adventure!
I have so many products and projects that I can’t wait to show you. Becky and I will unveil the Project Life kits soon.
Have you heard of Washi Tape? It’s one of the hottest products going in the crafting industry.
I love these colors and designs:
Made from paper, Washi Tape is a mix between Scotch tape and masking tape. It’s strong, functional and oh so very fun to paper craft with:
{Anyone else tired of winter and ready for spring?}
{I love this card for Mother’s Day or a thank you card:}
I’ll show you so many more cards and pages on March 25th using this “Pretty Little Washi Tape” kit. Oh–and wait until you see the price!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely, Lisa

I love birds of all kinds
Love the photos of the birds.
Gasp! I actually don’t own any Washi tape. I am a scrapbooker and card maker and I have not jumped on the Washi tape bandwagon yet.
Looking forward to your return to TV!
I love Washi tape!! I can see I’ll be spending lots of $$ on the 25th.
