This summer has been a whirlwind. Honestly, my kids haven’t even had a chance to say “I’m bored.” It’s been go, go, go.
Last week we said a big HELLO to our 6th annual “Girl’s Only” camping trip up American Fork Canyon with Kristy Banks, Kerri Bradford and our girls (plus a few add ons!).
It is always a relaxing time eating yummy food, taking fun hikes, playing games, reading books, visiting with dear friends and of course crafting.
This year Kerri brought her computer and Cameo Silhouette and brought black hoodies for us all. She then designed any image we wanted on heat transfer material and we ironed them on the hoodies.
The most popular was the Harry Potter design (thought up by Jordan). The front is the circle and triangle and the back looks like this:
Here’s the fun freebie. Kerri is giving away this image on her site. Go HERE and scroll down for this one-of-a-kind image. Both Brecken and Stefyn also received one and they are in love!
Alix and Rainy got shirts like these:
You should also check out Kerri Bradford’s new class on using your Silhouette. You can go here to see first hand all the tricks of this amazing machine.
We said GOODBYE today to our adorable Swiss girl, Chiara Fontana:
She was an absolute delight to have in our home these past 4 1/2 weeks. The first day she was here, we gave her a travel SmashBook. She faithfully kept up on it and had such a blast taking photos on her iPhone each day, then printing them out on the hAppy printer and writing about the memories. Then last night we had each member of our family write a note in the book:
The entire book was filled when she left. This is a great project to do with visitors that come for extended periods of time.
Yesterday and Today I said a tearful GOODBYE to summer and a reluctant HELLO to the start of a new school year. Yes–I love the learning aspect of school but have to admit I miss my little darlings when they aren’t around me.
Brecken took this pic of Sage last week:
Friday she got braces, just in time to start the first day of 7th grade yesterday. I love this photo of her with two friends. I always like to get the shot on multiple devices!
And here she is on her second day of of school:
Brecken was pretty stoked today to start 11th grade. Especially since she gets the car completely to herself since Collin is gone:
I can’t wait to tell you about all the cool items I’ll be featuring on “Paper Crafting with Lisa Bearnson” four weeks from today: September 17th. There is so much new, new, new including a “like nothing you’ve seen before” Project Life kit.
